My research explores transformations of political conflict and violence in Europe with a focus on civil society, protests and other forms of political participation. I am particularly interested in the dynamics of exclusion, polarization and political mistrust that underly and accompany such changes. My research also addresses memories of past conflicts with a strong interest in the interconnections between collective memory and activism.
