Political Violence and Practices of Survival

TraCe welcomes new Associate Fellow Sebastian Köthe

What sources do people draw from to endure political violence?  Sebastian Köthe, researcher at the Chair of Contemporary History at Justus Liebig University Giessen, studies the relationship between political violence and practices of survival. Starting in October, he joins TraCe as an Associate Fellow.

His research examines the cultural dimensions of political violence, including associated representations of the body, gender, and aesthetics. At the same time, he explores how those affected cling to survival in emergency situations. We are delighted to welcome him to TraCe!
