The TraCe Research Center is delighted to welcome two associated researchers at the start of the year.
Juliana González Villamizar is a research associate at the Chair of Peace Research at Justus Liebig University Giessen and conducts research on peacebuilding measures and mechanisms of transitional justice. As an associated researcher in research area 3.1 Interpretation of Violence and 3.2 Memories of Violence, she investigates the horizons of transformation that marginalized social actors enact in peacebuilding scenarios.
Iris Volg is a research associate at the Institute of Political Science at Goethe University Frankfurt. By focusing on quantitative research methods, she examines intrastate conflicts and possibilities of peace negotiation and intervention. As part of research area 1.1 Findings on the Forms, Causes and Consequences of Political Violence, she will investigate the changes in interventions in intrastae conflicts and the effects on the course of the conflict.
