Impulses for strategic development, refining the research profile, offering critical insights, and reflections on scientific quality – in these areas, the Scientific Advisory Board guides and supports TraCe’s work. As an external advisory body, the Board brings international and interdisciplinary perspectives to the table and helps the center shape its long-term direction.
The members of the board support TraCe through regular exchange and advisory meetings. Since 2022, the board consists of Eyal Benvenisti (Cambridge University), Stathis Kalyvas (University of Oxford) and Anoma Pieris (The University of Melbourne).
In April, Johanna Mannergren (Södertörn University) and Petra Terhoeven (German Historical Institute in Rome) joined the Scientific Advisory Board, further enriching it with additional scholarly perspectives and expertise.
TraCe also extends its sincere thanks to Svenja Goltermann (University of Zurich) for her committed and valuable contributions to the Scientific Advisory Board during the first funding phase (2022–2026). We fondly remember Bear Braumoeller (Ohio State University), who provided us with valuable guidance at the outset of the research center before passing away unexpectedly in 2023.
