The second lecture of the TraCe lecture series 2023/2024, organized by TraCe at Justus Liebig University Giessen, is given by Prof. Dr Thilo Marauhn and titled "Humanity at Risk. How Just War Theories Weaken the Protection of Victims of War". Thilo Marauhn is Professor of International Law at Justus Liebig University Giessen and Principal Investigator at TraCe. In his research he focuses on the containment of armed violence in international relations and addresses legal questions of col­lective security from the perspec­tive of the history of inter­national law.
