Panel discussion as conclusion of TraCe lecture series "Perspectives on Violence in the 21st Century"

Similar to its opening, the TraCe lecture series, organized by Felix Anderl and Mariel Reiss of Marburg Uni­versity, will conclude with a panel dis­­cussion. The panel will be moderated by Susanne Buckley-Zistel, Executive Director of the Centre for Con­flict Studies and Principal Investigator at TraCe. The following re­searchers will discuss "Researching Violence and the Violence of Research":

  • Hanna Pfeifer, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Goethe-Uni­versity and Principal Investigator at TraCe, focuses on radica­lization, violence research and the MENA region
  • Philipp Schulz, Research Associate at the Institute for Inter­cultural and International Studies (InIIS) at Bremen University, researches transitional justice, sexual violence in armed con­flics as well as gender and feminist theories
  • Maria Eriksson Baaz, Professor of Political Science and Inter­national Relations at Uppsala University (Sweden) focuses in her research on critical security and military studies, re­search ethics and gender and post-colonial theory

The TraCe lecture series in the winter term 2022/2023 will be held in person and in English.
